A simple, step-by-step guide — from the first phone call to the finished report. No technical knowledge needed.
The short version
MortLogix replaces your paper forms and phone calls with one simple system. The office logs a case, the driver handles it on their phone, the mortuary checks them in, and a full written report is created and emailed to everyone — automatically.
When a hospital or care home calls, the person in the office opens MortLogix on their computer and types in the details: the person's name, where they are, and which Garda is on scene. It takes about two minutes.
No paperwork. No forms to file. Everything is saved automatically the moment you type it.
With one click, the office assigns the job to a driver. The driver gets a message on their tablet straight away — by text and by email — with a link to open the job. They don't need to ring anyone or check a roster.
The driver taps the link on their tablet and sees everything: the address, the Garda's name, any special instructions.
As the driver travels, they tap simple buttons on their tablet: "On my way", "Arrived", "Left the scene", "On route to mortuary". Each tap records the exact time and location — no need to write it down or remember.
The office can see where every job is up to, live, without phoning the driver to ask.
At the scene, the driver uses their tablet to list any belongings — a ring, a watch, rosary beads. They can even take a photo of each item. This list travels with the case so nothing gets lost or disputed.
Every item is recorded against the person's name. The mortuary sees the same list when the person arrives.
The Garda, a member of staff, or a family member signs on the driver's tablet screen with their finger. No clipboards, no paper slips to lose. The signature is saved to the case instantly.
This is your proof of handover — who signed, when, and where they were at the time.
When the person arrives at the mortuary, staff open MortLogix on a tablet or computer. They tick off each belonging against the list the driver made — making sure everything arrived. Then they mark the case complete.
One tap confirms the handover is finished and correct.
The moment a case is finished, MortLogix builds a complete written report: every time stamp, every signature, every belonging, and every step of the journey. It sends this report by email to everyone who needs it — the Garda, the mortuary, the office.
No typing. No printing. No filing cabinets. It's done for you, and it's ready to stand up in court if ever needed.
